When velocity becomes sculpture

Created by MainGUILTY and designed by its creative director Carlos Mello, the work originates from the iconic silhouette of a Formula 1 car — the ultimate expression of automotive engineering — and transforms it into a fluid and organic sculptural form.

The single-seater appears to emerge from the metallic surface as if cutting through the air at high speed. From the cockpit, the aerodynamic lines begin to dissolve and evolve into a sculptural flow that evokes smoke, turbulence, and mechanical energy.

Gradually, this flow reveals a new interpretation:
the subtle silhouette of a female figure, almost like a siren shaped by speed. Machine and figure merge into a single form. The result is a paradoxical composition: an intense sensation of movement, frozen in time.

Each sculpture is: numbered, signed & certified.

The number 22 marks a historic moment in motorsport: 2026 will be the first Formula 1 season featuring 22 cars on the starting grid.

This edition therefore becomes a tribute to a new era in Formula 1.

The Shape of Speed explores the relationship between three universes:

engineering / speed / organic form

The Formula 1 car represents absolute precision, aerodynamics, and technological mastery. The feminine form introduces emotion, sensuality, and fluidity.

By merging these two elements, the sculpture transforms the mechanical object into an artistic expression of energy and movement.

The piece appears suspended in a fleeting moment;

as if the car had just crossed the track and the air itself were still shaping the metal.

The sculpture is produced using traditional artistic metal casting.

The official unveiling of the sculpture will take place during the weekend of the:

Formula 1 British Grand Prix 2026 — Silverstone. The 1/1 will be exhibited at Escapade Silverstone, an international space that combines hospitality, architecture, and contemporary art during the event.

The exhibition will be curated by Renata Fernandes, a curator dedicated to projects that intersect art, design, and automotive culture.
